Join Us for a Night of Celebrations:
Richardson’s Robert Burns Night that will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, will not only be a celebration of Richardson’s 22nd Annual Burns Night dinner to benefit the Richardson Symphony Orchestra but will also be a celebration of Robert Burns’ own 266th birthday, who was born on January 25, 1759!
Step into an unforgettable evening as Richardson’s Robert Burns Night Committee presents a festive Robert Burns Night celebration. This special event will honor Scotland’s beloved poet, Robert Burns, through a delightful blend of poetry, music, and culinary tradition, while benefiting our own beloved Richardson Symphony Orchestra.
The evening kicks off with a warm welcome and a fine selection of Scotch whisky to savor. Guests will enjoy a ceremonial addressing of the haggis, featuring a reading of Burns’ famous “Address to a Haggis,” celebrating the dish that has become synonymous with Scottish culture.
Following the traditional Piping in of the Haggis, a delicious Black Angus Beef Tenderloin supper, prepared by Naborly Provisions will be served. We’ll raise our glasses high and often in toasts to the King, the President, the Lassies and the Bard himself. We’ll hear remarks made on The Immortal Memory of Robert Burns and there will always be a touch of Scottish humor thrown in throughout the evening. Live music will be provided by Beyond the Pale performing a wonderful assortment of Scottish and Gaelic tunes to help set the stage for an evening like none other you’ll experience in Richardson! This night is sure to be filled with laughter, camaraderie, and fun culminating as we join hands in a rousing rendition of Burns’ most famous song “Auld Lang Syne.”
